Rules
Teams Must Meet the Following Criteria to be
Eligible for the City Slam!
- No Pick Up Teams! Must be a
legitimate league team playing in a league somewhere in the
qualifying counties listed below, (Exception in the Open
Division, Men's B & Co-Ed - No Restrictions)
- Teams must be in good standing
with all Local and National Associations, and all local parks
affiliated with PSA (Premier Softball Association.)
- Teams must submit the proper
Tournament Application along with the fee paid in full to
Eggleston Park, and a copy of their league roster by the entry
deadline.
- Teams must be USSSA Sanctioned.
- Tournament rosters must be
turned in before the first game. Players may only play for one
team and in one division of play, (Exception, players may play
on another team in the Open Division). Anyone caught will be
disqualified from the tournament and the team may also be
disqualified.
- Teams are guaranteed 5 games
except for the Men's Open, Class B/C NIT & the Co-Ed. Tournament committee has the right to alter this
format at their discretion.
- Tournament committee has the
right to enter a team in the division of their choice, based on
the knowledge of the team. If your team is entered into a
division other than what you applied, you have the right to
withdraw from the tournament with a full refund by 5:00 PM
Tuesday May 20, 2008.
- Tournament committee also has
the right to disqualify any team that they determine to be in
the wrong division.
- The tournament committee will
choose balls and it will be each teams responsibility to provide
their own balls for tournament play. Teams using illegal balls
will be subject to disqualification from the tournament.
- Only player eligibility and
rules protest will be allowed. All protest must be in writing
and accompanied with a $100.00 protest fee (refunded if protest
is upheld).
- Tournament play will be
projected over 1 weekend. Game times will not be altered for any
reason other than weather delays.
- Any player or coach ejected from
a game is automatically suspended from their team’s next game,
No Exceptions! Tournament committee reserves the right to take
further action if deemed necessary.
- Round robin games will use the 1
man umpire system. All 2 & out bracket games will use the 2 man
umpire system when possible.
- All decisions of the
Tournament Committee are Final.
